Knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
The third realm of importunate prayer mentioned by Jesus is knocking. Jesus said knock and the door will be open to you. Doors are open and shut in the spirit by believers praying and speaking God’s words on the earth. Once you have asked God, sought His Face and obtained an answer. The must be a birthing or even a time of travail for the manifestation in the earth. This prayer may even require warfare. Greek word Krouo means to strike, to strike with sharp heavy blow, to collide, to knock on a door with a heavy blow. This type of intercession strikes the mark or target in prayer like lighting. Job 36:32 He cover His hand with lighting and commands it to strike. The Hebrew word for lighting in this passage is the same word used for intercession paga means to strike the mark, to plead, to urge.
Knocking prayer is a continual praying, a quest for God’s order in God’s timing. Have you every tried to knock on a door once? We instinctively knock on a door several times to insure the knock is heard. Knocking prayer takes hold of the will of God in a situation bears down and wresting in prayer until gives birth to the answer. Knocking in prayer is involves groaning and travail. God hears the groans of His people. The bible tells us the creation groans for the manifestation of the sons of God. Exodus 2:23-25 states 23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. 24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.
Much like today the children of Israel were under extreme duress, oppression and bondage they need salvation and deliverance. God heard their groaning and moved to deliver them. God is awakening the groan once again! There is so much bondage and despair in the land. Modern day Annas will weep, groan and travail until breakthrough from bondage and deliver from the enemy oppression to release life and victory in the earth. Knocking in prayer is also like travail in that gives birth. Isaiah 66:8-9 Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, She gave birth to her children. Those with an Anna anointing will groan, laboring in travail to see revival come to the nations of the earth. The anointing needed to bring forth the will of God is compared to childbirth, this anointing is laced in love and passion for the lost. The Holy Spirit through an intensified burden is exposing the Father’s heart where words are inadequate. Travail can be defined as strenuous mental or physical agony or anguish and the labor of childbirth. Knocking in prayer is a “birthing” kind of prayer. Scripture compares severe labor pains preceding a birth with those private times the Holy Spirit may produce involuntary, regular groaning coming from an intensity of desire. This prayer becomes powerful as it couples with God in faith, yielding to the Holy Spirit with groans which cannot be utter in human language, knowing something very powerful and significant is being birthed in the spiritual realm. It is often accomplished by intensity of speech and weeping. God assures us that such knocking in prayer opens door of access in the spirit realm. Knocking in prayer open effectual doors that gospel may be preached and advance in the earth. Travail in the Spirit brings results in His time. Don’t fear such passion of travail and tears when praying for nations, spiritual leaders, individuals, or lost souls. Give yourself completely to knocking in prayer. Your groans, tears, weeping will reach beyond the visible to the throne of God.
Asking, Seeking and Knocking in prayer will yield great returns in the days to come. I want to admonish you to embrace importunate praying and refuse to be denied the greatness the Lord has promised for you and this generation. Enter into the presence of the Lord with humility and submission yet with holy boldness asking your heavenly Father for what you want. Let tenacity and perseverance motivate you. Don’t be so eager to place a period at the end of your prayer where God wants to place a comma. Keep asking and keep seeking and keep knocking until you are in the Face of God, until you are assured that something has shifted in your life, until revival comes, until violence no longer heard in your streets, until your sons and daughters are saved, until your are healed, until the name of Jesus is famous in our land, until the knowledge of the glory covers the earth!
Prayer for the Nations of the Earth
Father I ask you for the salvation of the nations of the earth. Lord you said if I ask you would give us the nations for our inheritance and the uttermost parts of the earth as our possessions. Lord save our Land. I humble myself. I come to you praying and cry out that you will heal our land. I turn from my wicked ways. Lord forgive us for being prideful and hard hearted. I ask lord that you will come with revival and spiritual awakening. Lord I ask that you will be merciful to us and bless us with your presence. Let your face shine upon us. Lord we need you and wisdom in our land. I bind every anti-Christ devil that is loosed in the nations of the earth. Father bring peace in our nations. Let Jesus the prince of peace be preached in every nation of the earth. Let the greater works generation arise. Those who will preach the gospel with power and demonstration. Those who will not compromise your standard of righteousness.
